140th issue: where to eat, part 2: Kallio

I wrote about Du Dii and Pelmenit in Low budged day in Helsinki, part 1. Those two are my absolutely favorite ones! Especially Pelmenit.

It's the hipster place in Kallio. But it's lunch and brunch are well vaunted. During brunch DJ's playing, especially sundays often Finnish oldies, so atmosphere is as chill as Finnish oldies. Summers also terrace open. Siltanen is very fun place, if you are not hungry, go for a beer or something there.

Lunch (mon-fri) 7.50-11.50 €
Brunch (sat-sun 11 am - 4 pm) 12€
A la carte 6-16 €

Hämeentie 13 B

How to get?
Trams 6 and 7A.
Hop off at Käenkuja.

This is a place where the portions are huge and the type of food is kind of home made food. You won't leave this place waling - you will roll out! Good for vegetarians too.

Fleminginkatu 21 B

How to get?
Tram 9 will get you the closest.

Kulma Kahvio

I absolutely love this place! It's more for drinking a cup of a coffee and having a small snack, but as a place very lovely. Go and have your coffee there after lunch!

Karhupuisto, Bear park, Agricolankatu 13.

How to get?
Trams 1A, 3B and 9.
Tram stop at Karhupuisto.

I haven't eaten here, but I've heard their brunch is nice. As a place Pacifico is very nice.

Brunch (Sat-Sun 11 am - 4 pm) 9.95€

Helsinginkatu 15

How to get?
Closest with tram 9
